Producer prices in the euro zone increased by 0.1 percent in February compared to a month earlier. The European statistical office Eurostat announced this.
Economists generally expected an increase of 0.2 percent. In January, prices charged by euro area manufacturers went up by a revised 0.3 percent.
Across the European Union, an increase of 0.2 percent on a monthly basis was recorded in February, according to Eurostat.
