The German government and Lufthansa have not yet reached an agreement on an emergency package to pilot the airline through the corona crisis. Sources reported to Reuters news agency that no agreement has yet been reached in the negotiations.
Earlier reports came out that Germany guarantees approximately 9 billion euros for the company. As an exchange, Germany would like to get a role on the supervisory board, with the possibility to block decisions.
The aviation giant said earlier that it aims to have a rescue package worth up to 10 billion euros this week. The company also pledged to knock on the door in Switzerland, Belgium and Austria for support, as Lufthansa has subsidiaries in those countries.
