Today, in Almaty the president of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Kenes Rakishev awarded the bronze medallists of the Olympics Saken Bibosynov and Kamshybek Konkabayev with special monetary certificates. The heroes of the games received $50,000 each. Personal trainers of boxers – Myrzagali Aitzhanov and Seitzhan Tokenov were awarded with 10,000 US dollars each from the Federation.
Boxing is the #1 sport in Kazakhstan. There are a lot of sportsmen, a lot of fans. The sport is always in the spotlight. Our task is to support athletes and coaches. Speaking to journalists, Bibosynov and Konkabayev announced that they would give all their prize money from the state ($75,000) to charity. Thus, they continued the worthy trend of the actions of true champions.
