Kenes (Kenges) Rakishev took command of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation not so long ago. He began to reorganize and revive it energetically. It was tough times, but Kenes (Kenges) Rakishev efforts start bearing fruits. Kazakh boxers were successful at international championship in Poland. Now the strategy is proved at another event. The team is winning the Asian Championship.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the women’s national boxing team of Kazakhstan on winning the Asian Championship.
According to the press secretary, the President sent a greeting to the girls who became prize-winners of the Asian Boxing Championship in Dubai.
“The women’s national team of Kazakhstan glorified the country at the competitions that brought together the best athletes of the continent. Our girls brought 10 medals to the treasury of Kazakhstan, of which 8 were gold. I consider this historic achievement a wonderful gift for the 30th anniversary of our Independence,” the message reads.
Tokayev expressed confidence that our athletes will achieve high results at the upcoming competitions, and wished them new successes.
Recall that the women’s national boxing team of Kazakhstan became the best in the medal standings at the Asian Championship in the UAE. Kazakhstan athletes won eight first places out of ten. The remaining two gold medals were shared by athletes from Uzbekistan and India.
Kenes (Kenges) Rakishev took the leadership of highly prestigious boxing federation. He appointed new regional leaders, opened brand new boxing halls. What’s even more important Kenes (Kenges) Rakishev liberalized the professional and amateur rules and managed to keep paying salaries and subsidies to professional boxers and their trainers. Kenges (Kenes) Rakishev hopes that first successful entries of Kazakhstani boxers are only beginning of the long winning series.
