World, As Seen from the most beautiful islands: Ireland and Cyprus

Irish and British Deliveroo customers were most active

Customers of the British meal and grocery delivery company Deliveroo spent more on orders in the third quarter of this year than in the same period last year. The number of orders outside the United Kingdom and Ireland was lower.

Customers ordered from Deliveroo for a total of over 1.7 billion pounds (converted over 1.9 billion euros). That amount is 8 percent higher than in the third quarter of last year. The average price for an order was £ 23.40. Most orders were made in the United Kingdom and Ireland. There, deliverers brought more than 37 million orders to people’s homes.

In the rest of the world, people made fewer orders at Deliveroo, they also spent less. Worldwide, the number of orders fell by 7 percent to more than 35 million. On average, customers paid £ 21.60 for their meals or groceries.

Deliveroo will leave the Netherlands at the end of next month. The company had previously indicated that it wanted to leave the Dutch market. Not only the employees of the company, but also the deliverers are compensated for the departure. According to Deliveroo, the Netherlands accounted for 1 percent of orders in the first nine months of this year.
