British security guard company G4S has turned down another takeover bid. The company does not want to hear of a proposal from its American branch representative Allied Universal Security Services, which would cost about GBP 3.2 billion. That amounts to almost EUR 3.6 billion.
“Allied’s bid is a significant undervaluation of the company”, says G4S in a statement.
The G4S administration strongly believes in an independent future, as it further indicates. The initiates already indicated that G4S would reject the offer.
The company recently turned against a hostile bid by GardaWorld, which just did not want to pay £ 3 billion. G4S is active in dozens of countries and has hundreds of thousands of employees. In recent years, the company has rejected various activities, including transfer of value to the Netherlands, in order to focus on security services. Moreover, the group has been plagued by a series of scandals for a number of years.
