The British budget airline easyJet has completed the sale of a total of 23 aircraft, which it will now lease. In doing so, the airline raised GBP 608 million, equivalent to some EUR 672 million. This is more than previously estimated by the company.
The proceeds of the sale are used to strengthen easyJet’s financial position during the crisis, which hit the aviation sector hard. Now that the sale of the aircraft has been completed, the company has raised GBP 2.4 billion to deal with the crisis.
