Cyprus closes the gap: Coronavirus now emerging in all 27 EU Member States

The authorities in Cyprus have reported two cases of the new corona virus. This means that all 27 EU Member States are now affected. The authorities on the Mediterranean island have not yet released any information about the patients. Minister Constantinos Ioannou (Public Health) is giving a press conference about this.

In Europe, Italy has been particularly affected by the virus. There, more than 7,300 infections were reported and 366 patients died. The number of coronavirus infections in the Netherlands has now risen to 321. Three patients in their eighties have succumbed to the virus.

More than 110,000 infections have been detected worldwide.
