Following Twitter footsteps Google adds blue verification checkboxes

Google adds blue verification checkboxes for businesses to Gmail. These will be available to companies that use Google Workspace and have verified their domain name and logo.

The feature will be part of Google’s existing Brand Indicators for Message Identification System, which will allow companies using Google Workspace to verify their identity. With BIMI, until now, the logo of companies was shown with emails. So now there is also a blue tick.

The check mark, according to Google, shows that the company in question has demonstrated that it is the owner of its domain name and the company logo that is shown. The feature should be available to all eligible users by the end of this week.
