Aircraft maker Boeing is considering temporarily stopping the production of the 737 MAX aircraft in question. It is still unclear when the aircraft will be allowed back into the air by aviation authorities. According to various reports, this will only be after January next year. In addition to a production stop, there is reported to be a reduction in manufacturing.
The devices are held to ground worldwide for safety reasons after two crashes in a short time. Due to a software error, the noses of the device were pushed down. Boeing is working on an update. The modifications to the aircraft must be approved by all relevant aviation authorities.
The 737 MAX is Boeing’s best-selling aircraft. A decision about restricting production is expected later on Monday.
