World, As Seen from the most beautiful islands: Ireland and Cyprus

US and China cruising to the Deal

China and the US are approaching a partial trade deal. The Global Times writes that Monday. According to the generally well-informed Chinese newspaper, Beijing would also like to work on discussions about further agreements in the future.

US President Donald Trump also spoke of a possible quick agreement for the weekend. He emphasized that in his eyes Beijing is much more interested in concluding a deal than he is.

At the beginning of October messages were already being announced about an agreement between the economic superpowers. According to the US, the deal with China should be the prelude to the end of the trade war between countries. Beijing then emphasized that there was nothing on paper yet. Since then, the partial agreement has been negotiated further behind the scenes.
